Common New Patient Questions

Please get in touch with our team if you have any questions prior to your first treatment.

Do I have to undress?

No you do not have to undress, but you may want to remove jewellery and/or outer layers of clothing.

Will the first appointment also include an adjustment?

Yes, our aim in the first consultation is usually to assess and include a chiropractic adjustment. However we will advise if a different course of action is recommended in individual cases.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

No, you shouldn’t feel any sharp pain. Chiropractors are highly trained practitioners who are skilled at assessing and correcting misalignment in your body.

What should I expect after a first chiropractic adjustment?

It is not uncommon to experience a few symptoms after your first adjustment. These can range from a mild headache to some fatigue or pain in the areas that were adjusted.

Will you “crack my back”?

Not always! Effective adjustments don’t have to make a noise. Our aim is to correct areas of misalignment in your body and spine. We will use the most effective technique for each individual patient.
